Belgians postpone decision on eventual end of season

After the Belgian Football League as the first in Europe to announce the possibility of ending the competition prematurely, which is otherwise opposed by the umbrella European Football Federation, they have now moved the final decision. According to French news agency AFP, the assembly of the Belgian elite league Pro League will be held on Monday.

The league assembly was scheduled to sit on Friday, but postponed the meeting to Monday, according to AFP, when it was also known whether the Belgian championship would end or not. The assembly was also rescheduled in anticipation of decisions by the Belgian government and its national security council, which is set to take action on Friday for large-scale outdoor events.

Belgium has already announced its intention to end the national football championship early on 25 March.
