Two of the most experienced tennis players in the ATP circuit, David Ferrer and Juan Martin del Potro, will face the semi-final at the Auckland semifinals. An impressive number of 10 direct confrontations have been held so far between the two tennis players, with the Spaniard heading to this chapter with 6-4. Despite the fact that the Iberian leads this chapter, the two met only once in the last 4 years and I think Juan Martin del Potro will mark the 5th victory in front of him. David disappointed in the last two years, with weaker results, leaving the impression that the “knock on the door” retreat, compared to the Argentinian, who returned very well after the injury and registered last year no less than 20 of victories. Ferrer has to rest for the Australian Open because he will have a hard game against Rublev and I do not think he will force this semifinals but on the contrary will be defeated at a difference of at least 3 games. Each time he was forced, Juan made it to a minimum of 3 games, so there’s a good chance that this scenario will be repeated.
